Bio
I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 1997, I attended the biology department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kyiv. Postgraduate studies were held in the prof. Belan laboratory of the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, Kyiv, Ukraine. I focused on the role TRPV1 channels in hippocampal neurons.
I’ve joined the University of Iowa for postdoctoral training in 2008 in the Dr. Wemmie Lab. My work was a part of study of the role of ASIC channels in the amygdala neurons in the development of anxiety. In 2011 I joined Donna Hammond's lab.
Currently I'm working in Dr.Tanas' Lab and investigating regulation of the hippo pathway.
I love spending my free time with my family and friends. My hobbies are traveling, reading, and gardening.
